EMBOSS

Boiling heat transfer is frequently employed in cooling systems, such as high power-density microdevices. As part of the Enhanced Multiscale BOiling SurfaceS (EMBOSS) project, we are developing a 3D multiscale framework, including molecular dynamics (MD), computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Lattice-Boltzmann (LB) simulations, to understand the effect of surface features and fluid properties on boiling heat transfer. EMBOSS is in collaboration with Impertial College London and Brunel University London.
